River Cleaning is a company-owned project based on the extensive experience in the design, prototyping and manufacturing of thermoplastic material parts of the entrepreneur Mr. Vanni Covolo. The project capitalizes on previous expertise in innovative mold-making processes.

From 2018 the parent company shifted its business focus to the development of River Cleaning technologies, aiming at providing prevention and depollution measures against solid waste and oils in rivers and waterways.

The River Cleaning Project aims at delivering long-term, efficient and sustainable solutions to achieve clean and healthy oceans. Its mission is to pursue a safer environment, while providing social benefits and improving the economic performances of private companies in areas reclaimed from plastic pollution.

Product introduction

1. River Cleaning Plastic is a system designed to stop and collect floating and semi-submerged litter in every kind of flowing water. According to proper preliminary environmental and feasibility studies, different solutions can be chosen according to the needs of the customer. One of the possible setups involves buoying modules anchored to an underwater structure, with flexible retractile wires to ease the passage of boats. Another setup, which is best suited to channelized waterways, involves an overhead anchoring structure that minimizes maintenance needs.
These River Cleaning solutions can stop 90% of solid waste including plastic, glass, aluminum and packaging waste, organic debris such as algae.
Along with the basic versions of River Cleaning barriers, specific array can be included such as remote monitoring and control (User interface), electricity generation and automation for emergency self-maintenance.

2. River Cleaning Oil technologies, currently under development, are aimed at the retention of liquid pollutants in the surface area of waterways, in addition to solid litter. Different options are available according to the type of oil pollution that needs to be tackled. We offer devices equipped with absorbent plug-ins for moderate pollution and filtration-based devices for large oil spills.
